As the Summer Olympics will soon begin in Brazil, the 100 meter event is considered the queen event and supplants the marathon as the most prestigious discipline in athletics competitions.
In fact in the world of SEO, it’s a bit the same. Some will want to go faster but will miss essential steps of natural referencing while others will be more enduring because they will have been better prepared.
SEO is about persistence
If you want to achieve your goals, a few sprints like writing an article from time to time or doing netlinking with 2 or 3 partners will not be enough to reach 1st place. Because you will have understood, SEO takes time. And if you don’t want to be burned before your competitors, it’s better to regulate your efforts and be perseverant!
I’m sharing this very cool infographic from Ya-graphic which draws the parallel between running and SEO very well:

Great content!
To overtake your competitors, create quality, unique and engaging content so that search engines and your visitors like you. The ideal is to have a regularly updated blog (at least once a week) to demonstrate your expertise in your sector of activity.
Optimize your web pages
Beyond the technical optimization of your website, you will also need to optimize each of your pages with the right tags. Don’t forget to enter your title, meta description or ALT tags for your images. Also try to respect the equation 1 pages = 1 keywords and + its lexical field while being careful to respect a logical internal mesh.
Find the right link spots
There are plenty of netlinking techniques. The main thing is to have quality links that come from high authority sites and to vary your link anchors. Ditch the directories and focus on influential blogs you can participate in. Post your content on social networks so that it is shared and use Twitter to find and contact sites, blogs and other journals that could become the talk of you.
Avoid doping
We saw it recently with Russia, you can always try to dope yourself by doing abusive netlinking or keyword overoptimization. But it will be at your own risk because Google is there to monitor you and it will not do you any favors!
So avoid buying artificial links and vary the nofollow/follow attributes. For your content, stop having your articles written in Madagascar and focus instead on quality. Because in the event of a penalty, it will be very difficult for you to climb the slope. Take a look at Google Webmaster Tools by registering your site to check that you are clean according to Google.
